Card Senet

Card Senet is a two-person game inspired by the traditional Ancient Egypt game, Senet. This version of Senet focuses on using the card deck as the game board and main mechanics for the special moves. The original game was played both on a floor grid or game box in ancient times, so the card deck modernized the concept with card implementation since card decks are common in modern homes. The rules are also similar, but I made some modifications to make the game simpler and more random. The players will create the board themselves as they place the cards, randomizing the board each time and giving them control over the gameplay. The process and overall gameplay will depend on where the players place the special cards since the mechanics affect the game’s difficulty. There are still 30 squares for the game board, but the special squares are replaced by Joker, Aces, Queen, and King cards. The experience serves as a competitive yet casual board game entertainment that brings players to compete and laugh at the progress they made. The intent is to allow players to have fun while trying to beat the other player based on their strategy to move all of their pieces off the game board. The gameplay allows different gameplay experiences with the freedom to build the game board.
